Greeley's Oktoberfest is presented by the Downtown Development Authority and sponsored by the City of Greeley, along with a host of other sponsors who make this event possible. The majority of the proceeds from the event go the Downtown Development Authority, whose mission is to promote the economic redevelopment of the Greeley central business district. This year's festival kicks off at 7 am, Saturday, September 4th with a Balloon Festival at Eastman Park (weather permitting), then feed your hunger with the Town Barbeque at Boardwalk Park, 100 N. 5th Street, beginning at 4:00 p.m. (All proceeds will benefit the After Prom Committee.) The Concert will follow the Barbeque at Boardwalk Park featuring Nightown. The night will wrap up with a great Fireworks display over Windsor Lake. The activities will switch to Main Park on Sunday and Monday where there will be close to 200 Arts and Crafts and Commercial Booths as well as a great selection of Food Vendors. There will be great music and demonstrations coming from the Entertainment Stage in the park along with plenty of rides and games for the kids!
